Got my four year degree from Appalachian State, worked a few years, and then got my Masters from the University of Texas at Austin.
After grad school I moved around quite a bit, spending most of my time in Texas. After 11 years in the unrelenting Texas heat, in 2008 I moved back to Raleigh to be closer to family.
Shortly after returning to North Carolina, I was diagnosed with cancer. After a tough road of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation, I decided I needed to live a little. So I quit my job and traveled to Europe for a few months. It was a great trip. Definitely one the best decisions I've ever made.
Another great decision: marrying my husband Lee in 2011. What a blessing he is to me.
Unfortunately, I won't make it to the 25 year reunion. We'll be out of town that weekend. Hope everyone has a great time!
